Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Ab Initio. 
  2. Solution Design: Design end-to-end data integration solutions leveraging the Ab Initio platform. This includes designing data workflows, transformations, and data quality processes. 
  3. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure adherence to best practices and architectural standards. 
  4. Platform Configuration: Configure and optimize the Ab Initio environment to ensure optimal performance and scalability of data integration processes. 
  5. Data Modeling: Work with data modelers to design and implement data models that support the requirements of the data integration solution. 
  6. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure the quality and accuracy of data integration processes. 
  7. Performance Tuning: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize Ab Initio graphs and processes for improved performance and efficiency. 
  8. Documentation: Create technical documentation including design documents, configuration guides, and operational procedures. 
  9. Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues related to Ab Initio workflows, configurations, and integrations.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  1. Strong Ab Initio Skills: Proficiency in designing and developing data integration solutions using Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment) and Co>Operating System. 
  2. Data Integration Experience: Extensive experience with data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing architectures. 
  3. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Unix shell scripting). 
  4. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  6. Team Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 
  7. Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven track record of identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner. 
  8. Project Management Skills: Experience leading technical projects, managing timelines, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, and Ab Initio software.
  • Certifications in Ab Initio or relevant technologies are a plus.
