Job Description IFS Asset Management is the product group within R&D where we maintain the Asset information (such as Equipment information and Fleet Asset information) and the Work Order management that our customer uses for different businesses. We also manage some more generic functionalities like Document Management and Application Services supporting all other product areas. We have a wide range of technologies and a lot of integrations towards 3rd party products to cater for, i.e., Esri GIS map handling. We also work a lot with IoT, AI, Machine learning and other type of techniques that give value to our customers. Our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution is highly rated by our customers and awarded the Gartner Peer Insights Customers¿ Choice 2022 award for EAM Software. As a Software Engineer in the R&D team, you¿ll be responsible for delivering quality software by applying sound development practices and leveraging test driven development methodology. Based on user stories and functionality specification, you will develop software components as they relate to our Asset Management Product Offering. You will work with back end and front end components, design and build solutions to address our customer needs. To join the Asset Management team in IFS R&D as a Senior Software Engineer / Software Engineer, you need to be good at listening and communicating, and share knowledge and experience. You should be an engineer who is curious, have a deep interest in customer's problems/challenges and interested in solving these through applying technology. A software engineer is expected to consistently develop high quality software solutions by: ¿ Analyzing and interpreting the requirements to fulfill the domain needs. ¿ Applying the best engineering and architectural concepts. ¿ Ensuring product performance and maintainability by adhering to IFS¿ standards, guidelines, processes, and tools. ¿ Performing comprehensive testing and documentation tasks. ¿ Actively participating in communication with stakeholders to ensure the solution is fit for purpose. Qualifications ¿ A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. ¿ Previous working experience with Enterprise grade software is a definite advantage. ¿ Knowledge in PL/SQL, Oracle Database, .Net framework, Java, and Scripting. ¿ 2+ years of proven experience working in a similar role.
